2025-2026 Annual Venice Plein Air MAP Schedule

 November-April 2025-2026, MAP two times each month. 

MAP= Meet And Paint

1st Monday- Caspersen Beach (along boardwalk and shoreline)UPDATE for our 1st Monday location; Caspersen Beach was decimated by Hurricane Milton- until we are able to return to painting there, we will meet just up the shore from it at "Service Club Park" 1190 Harbor Dr. S. Venice, FL 34285

  3rd Saturday- Historic Downtown Venice & Farmers Market (meet at Gazebo), with our special annual MAP 3rd Saturday of January recording its growth each year en Plein Air, Jan 20, 2024 MAP VENICE URBAN FOREST. Saturday November 15th Historic Downtown Venice & or Venice Farmer's Market 

Monday December 1st Service Club Park

Saturday December 20th Historic Downtown Venice & or Venice Farmer's Market (unofficial MAP- for all those that still wish to Meet And Paint close to the Holiday- Downtown will have all its decorations up- Two MAP's on the 20th, one in the morning at our regular time, 2nd at dusk for a nocturne with all of the Holiday lights on the 20th too)

Monday January 5th Service Club Park

Saturday January 17th Venice Urban Forest

Monday February 2nd Service Club Park two MAPs One Day, DUAL MAP with Peace River Painters; One starts at 8:30ish with Susan leading and One that starts pre-dusk with Karen Ann leading for a sunset nocturne.  ALL are welcomed to join in.

 We meet 8:30ish - Noonish.  Critique if wish starts around 11:30am.

Service Club Park, both boardwalk and wonderful beach areas just off the boardwalk too. Sadly, post Milton, Caspersen remains with road closed. Caspersen's we paint all along the boardwalk, and usually meet down towards the end of the beach along the surf.

Historic Downtown Venice we meet at or around the Gazebo and spread out from there. You may paint all over dowtown wherever you wish, including the Farmers Market.  We say 'hi' at the Gazebo to start, and if you seek to join critique, it will be close to there too.

 We are keeping it SIMPLE this year as all are wheeling from the effects of Ian on the area.

 So THAT remains our plan for this upcoming season November-April 2022-23, meeting on

1st Monday & 3rd Saturday each month.

 Follow our Facebook Page if you can for updates, and will also share there when other painting opportunities are available in our area.  Hopefully we will be able to dual MAP with Sharon's Group Peace River Painters, as we annually do.  Their area hit hard by Ian.

Karen Ann Hitt, your VPA Facilitator apologizes for so many missed dates in our last season.  She herself experienced a flood of her home and many extenuating circumstances where restoration took over a year.  Heart goes out to all in the area that are picking up the pieces of their world post Ian. Thankful to be able to still MAP this season... and hope to see lots of familiar faces at our beloved places for some good ole outdoor painting camaraderie... and yes preserving our beloved area with Art!
