Another group that meets in our nearby area is PASC now known as Light Chasers. Link to their website for more information. Their usual paint out day is Thurs. Mornings. Many Venice artist are a part, and they also meet in Venice on occasion too. There are also two other area Plein Air Groups: Peace River Painters led by Sharon Yarbrough that meets closer to Punta Gorda, but also visits Venice to paint, and an Englewood group.
ALL The groups work together and hold no boundaries as to participants. Sharing members openly.

Venice Plein Air... simply to celebrate the historical of our Venice area and to keep it recorded in the arts... and for the arts to continue to be represented by her artists in the area. VPA actually formed early on to keep this historic town in the Plein Air Records. The additonal area groups offer so much opportunity to Plein Air Paint, and many meet weekly: PASC ...and the beauty of PASC/Light Chasers is how they cover a larger area weekly on thursdays. Also Sharon's Peace River Painters meets every Monday: so if you have an interest to Plein Air Paint, be sure to check out the PAF calendar of events at PleinAirFlorida.org whom we umbrella under for many possibilities of Florida Plein Air in our area. Also you may want to enlist in the PLEIN AIR FORCE as a part of Plein Air Magazine new Out Door Painters Website. Also available for the SE Region is The Forgotten Coast En Plein Air website for resources.
VPA remains happily as a smaller sanction, as is our area smaller. Again, all our welcome.
